About Me
Hi, I’m Brad Schroder, owner of Mission First Bookkeeping and a QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisor.
Where I come from
My career in accounting started as a controller at a dealership in 2000 while I was working on my bachelor's degree in accounting at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Throughout the years I've worked as a controller, sales manager, and general manager in the automotive industry. I closed the books every month, managed payroll and sales tax, reconciled accounts, and sat down with department heads and owners to explain what the numbers meant and what to do about them. I know what it’s like to be responsible for the bottom line, because I was. From there, I moved into consulting and compliance, helping dealerships find their problem areas, tighten their processes, and stay on the right side of regulations. Along the way, I've also earned an MBA from Webster University.
Why “Mission First”
Before any of that, I served in the U.S. Army as an armor crewmember. The Army taught me discipline, accountability, and the importance of getting the details right when it counts. “Mission First” is how I approach every client: your goals come first, and the books exist to help you reach them.

- Plain-English reporting. I’ll explain what your financial statements are telling you, without jargon.
- Honest communication. You’ll get straight answers, on time, even if the numbers aren’t what you hoped.
- Your success is the measure. My job isn’t just entering transactions. It’s helping you stay organized, stay compliant, and focus on running your business.

I specialize in QuickBooks Online bookkeeping, including account reconciliation, general ledger maintenance, month-end close, financial statement preparation, accounts payable and receivable, and cleanup of books that have gotten behind or off track.
